Je suis australien d’origine et je vis en France depuis 30 ans.J’ai commencé ce blog pour m’exprimer sur mes intérêts intellectuels et culturels.Je lis beaucoup de philosophie et de science-fiction,j’écoute pas mal d’audiolivres et de podcasts,et je voudrais partager mes goûts et mes découvertes avec d’éventuels interlocuteurs.Dans un premier temps je me suis inscrit sur Facebook et sur GoodReads,voici mon profil pour les deux:
I was born in Sydney,Australia.I majored in philosophy at Sydney University,where I did 5 years of postgraduate work in epistemology and the philosophy of science and taught in the Department of General Philosophy during that time.I then discovered the work of Gilles Deleuze and taught myself French to be able to read his books.I then dropped everything and came to Paris to attend his lectures,which were brilliant.After 7 years in Paris I moved South to the French Riviera (books are fine but I also need sun and warmth!) where I am now an English teacher (professeur agrégé) in a French senior high school.I am interested in recent French philosophy,principally: Deleuze, Badiou, Latour;but I also like Michel Onfray,Zizek,Graham Harman,Stanley Cavell,Hubert Dreyfus.I read modern SF writers like Alastair Reynolds,China Miéville,Peter Hamilton,Kim Stanley Robinson,David Brin,Paolo Bacigalupi – but I also like many less recent writers too.My favorite SF writer is Gene Wolfe and my two favorite philosophers are Paul Feyerabend and Gilles Deleuze.

Je suis philosophe,mais je travaille comme professeur d’anglais dans un lycée du bâtiment!Je voudrais avec ce blog compléter et élargir mon dialogue intellectuel.
